Thanks to the Royal Norwegian Navy for this video snippet - it shows the detachment from RNAS Culdrose’s Merlin Helicopter Force who travelled to Bergen earlier this summer to test the latest sub’ hunting tactics against Norwegian and German submarines. The aircrew, engineers and support personnel were from 824 and 814 Naval Air Squadrons. Using sonobuoys and the Merlin Mk2 helicopters’ dipping sonar, the crews flew sorties every day, amassing around 50 hours of high-quality training on Exercise
